"A Massive Upgrade in Alans"
Rep. Alan Grayson tonight on the Viewpoint with Gov. Spitzer was asked what he thought about his win and Alan West's defeat in the House, as the title of the thread quotes, "A massive upgrade in Alans!"
There's some real coattails for my friend, Whell.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him fetch up there as a "defense analyst".

Alan Grayson is as tough as they come. Kind of strange that we now consider an FDR democrat a progressive?

From Wikipedia
"On November 6, 2012, Grayson won in what has been described as "the biggest comeback in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives." In 2010, Grayson had lost to Republican Daniel Webster by 18 percentage points. In 2012, he beat Republican Todd Long 25 points, 62.5% to 37.5%. According to Grayson's website, his polling showed that he " won every county, every municipality, every race, every age group, every language group and each gender."
Amazing guy, worked his way through Harvard as a janitor and is the ninth richest member of congress. Modest, too.

Who could forget this bit of Grayson lore! Also from Wikipedia
On a September 2009 Alex Jones Show segment, Grayson criticized Federal Reserve Chair Bernanke's senior adviser Linda Robertson, saying "Here I am the only member of Congress who actually worked as an economist, this lobbyist, this K-Street whore, is trying to teach me about economics!" Robertson had previously worked as a lobbyist for Enron. Grayson's language was widely criticized as inappropriate, and Grayson apologized
