The Careful Craft of Propanda

Lately I've been noodling on this video. It went around during the 2010 midterm elections. It is called "The American Form of Government" and was primarily used by Tea Partiers to show that their view was the correct one.

IMO it is propaganda. Note that the poster says "Just Wild" and that the video paints Republican gun-toters as the keepers of peace. Both perspectives appeal to the lowest common denominator of human behavior, namely ego and fear. The video also says that Democracy is mob rules, yet it bins Democracy closer to Oligarchs than it does a Republic.

Notice the intersection of statistics. Neocons use fear as a motivator. Neocons advertise to workers which are the group increasingly on the side that is getting screwed. Is it possible that whoever created this video was appealing to the people that are the most angry and holding the most guns? That he was trying to stir a hornets' nest?

I dunno. Just a thought rolling around my head. The sausage making of politics is dirty work.

And, if the wingnut masses view the law or jury, in their decison, as being liberal biased, they will demand his head regardless of the sentence.

Hmmmmm......Our producers more than make ends meet, the buggers are billionaires who live better than royalty. So, WTF does the ancient Rome example have to do with us? Maybe their producers (Job Creaters?) demanded tax cuts and paid agitators to incite unrest and overthrow the government so they could step in and create an oligarchy?

Maybe that's what is happening here?

Oh, now we have Nazis hurling old Jews off of apartment balconies. No, no fearmongering to be found here. Maybe they should have included an "What if any mentally disturbed psychopath could buy an AR-15 with 30 round clips at a gun show?" And, then show the unedited aftermath of Columbine or Sandy Hook?

Wasn't the "New World Order" heralded in by a REPUBLICAN?

Has it occurred to any of these people that their freedom can be eroded without touching their damn guns? It's done through economic pressure....It's done by laying off millions of workers and letting them suffer until they become sympathetic to the people who are deliberately starving them. It's done by slick talking you into surrendering your democracy to oligarchs. Corporatocracy is the ultimate goal, by my estimation;
