Mitt - Tithing makes it hard to reveal taxes

Mitt says he is reluctant to reveal his taxes because of tithing. I guess he must be below the required 10%.

What a dick. Tithing isn't tax deductible and does not show up in tax returns any more than pizza and beer money.

The more that guy says about his taxes the worse it sounds and the more it seems he has something to hide. Apart from anything else, his ideology or lack thereof, this reveals Romney as a pretty dumb guy. We already had one of those for 8 years (with, by the way, an assertive and cruel ideologue for a veep). Do we really want another one?

"When Mitt and I give that check," she said, "I actually cry."

I think that's probably your magic underwear sneaking up your but crack, Ann.

This has been my thought all along as I've stated before. It has nothing to do with secret contributions (though all tithe is confidential in the church). It has everything to do with if he shows how much he really makes then the church and the people of the church will know he's been lying to them and cheating them. This may cost him a large section of the Mormon vote as if you are willing to lie to God and the church what's gonna stop ya from lying to the country.

Tithe is paid on all income pre-tax. Mitty makes a hell of a lot of money when it's all added up and I'm willing to bet he's not putting in a full, pre tax 10% to the church.

Not only cheating the American taxpayer, but lying to the church in order to scrooge them a few bucks on the Jesus tax as well. That sounds about right. You can't even get a penny out of a Republican with threats of eternal damnation.........

"Everyone has his price", Dave. They figure they'll just cut themselves a deal at the Pearly Gates.

Or maybe this:

Hey everybody,
Let's have some fun
You only live but once
And when you're dead you're done
So let the good times roll,
