HW Bush was a class act in my book too, a real war hero and a decent guy. Afterall he called Reaganomics "Voodoo Economics".

Ah, Bush Sr. We'll never forget you throwing up in the Japanese PMs' lap

So Jeb vs Hillary?

Why? Does it make sense at this point to prefer a semi-announced candidate over someone... anyone who might emerge later? I don't get the logic behind that.

Or do you just mean that you prefer Jeb to the rest of the people already in the Klown Kar?

My opinion is that Hillary will be just another Romney as a candidate. I would rather another candidate, may it be Elizabeth Warren rise. There will be enough time to slam Bush since he is carrying a lot of baggage and flubs in his speeches.

OTOH, this may be wishful thinking on my part since it will be a disaster with Jeb in the WH. I see tax cuts for the wealthy (consider the money he is raising), military build up and active engagement in the Middle East.

Yes, I see Jeb as a slam dunk for GOP nomination.

That's not the same as saying you prefer him.
