There are plenty of court cases where due process was observed, and the court findings were later reversed.

The number of wrongful convictions in Illinois and Missouri have been so numerous and notorious that ou beloved state governments have budgeted monies to pay for those who have been wrongly convicted and served time due to prosecution abuses. That includes lying cops.

Anyone taking a rap for reasons other than guilt is "bad."

Which is, of course, why Wilson should be exonerated.

100%.

Unless your goal isn't due process.

Zeke has two rules for cops.

1. The cop is always right.

2. If the cop is wrong, refer to rule number one.

And you have two arguments:

1. Shitty.
2. Repeat.

My point is, that it is what the grand jury is actually for. It goes before them and he goes to trial of not. Both ways the GJ did their job and due process was served.

Grand juries are something of a check on over-zealous prosecution. They are no check at all on under-zealous prosecution. But you seem to want to pretend that's not a problem, and fall back on the form of justice being done, regardless of the substance.

I wasn't asking for more description of the Grand Jury process. I was asking why 'due process is served' is enough for you--as opposed to 'justice being served.' That latter is the end we seek, due process is just process.

I had a judge tell me point blank 'this isn't a court of justice - it's a court of law'.

I see that if a GJ does not sent it to trial it will be used as an excuse to riot.

While we are awaiting the GJ verdict, here is an interesting video from an Illinois checkpoint.

I can see this trend starting soon though the fact remains that one should not get stopped if one is obeying the law.

OK Zeke. I'm waiting.

Since the cop had no grounds to be stopping anybody without probable cause, and realizing that the driver knew he had no grounds, the best the cop could come up with was to act like the belligerent, officious, asshole he obviously is.
