His dirt finding mission to Ukraine as a private citizen by itself is not a crime (from what I know) and getting pressured by his contacts to get Marie Yovanovitch can easily be explained away. So unless this A-hole took big money like Manafort, I don't see a big problem for him.

His interactions with Dmitry Firtash, a guy under indictment by the US for bribery and racketeering and facing extradition, are very much a part of this. Fertach is connected to the Kremlin and was willing to pay Rudy and his thugs $1.2 million and concoct misinformation about Biden in Ukraine to get Rudy to convince Trump to drop his extradition.

Newly released emails show Trump pressured DOJ to challenge election results, House Oversight says
The House Oversight Committee shared a cache of more than 200 pages of documents.

The documents show that Trump in December pressed the Justice Department to file a Supreme Court lawsuit to nullify the 2020 election, the committee said.

“These documents show that President Trump tried to corrupt our nation’s chief law enforcement agency in a brazen attempt to overturn an election that he lost,” committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney said.
