On top of that what they "pay" for those grazing rights is a ridiculous pittance.

And, for at least one of them, cheap isn't cheap enough. He supposedly has a "right" to let his cattle graze wherever he damn well pleases and pay no one.

One comment I read today;

"The government didn't create the land or make the grass grow, God did. So, his cattle should be free to graze wherever they want!"

My nephew sent me that youtube video of the "confrontation" between the Bundy people and the rangers. It looked to me like the "protesters" were doing their best to provoke something. The rangers were smart to give them as little as they could.

Looks more like another whack-o. We had a few of those in Utah that thought they didn't have to answer to law or government, Singer-Swapp comes to mind F.I. They didn't believe in things like schools, drivers licenses, vehicle registration, speed limits, ect. They were a pain in the ass, the neighbors hated them. Bad examples of polygamists by all accounts, like the Jeffs group.
