Latest Ebay purchase:

Hermann Hesse

"Das Glasperlenspiel" 1943.

Printed in Switzerland (he was banned in Germany then), Vellum-bound, top-edge gilt, this design and layout are ultra rare. I was lucky: it was just listed - just 100 euros.

The early bird traps the worm as we say in the Fatherland.

Nice.

I was trying to waken a room mate after a long night of bar hopping in San Diego one morning. I yelled into his room, "Wake up, Harry! Come on. The early bird gets the worm!" He threw a pillow at me and yelled back; "And, the early worm gets eaten. So, shut up and get back in your hole!"

I always thought that was a great come back.

I bought one of those at full price for my B&O thinking the problem was the cart. It's the tone arm.

Well - don't sell it again, some time you may need it and the sound quality even of this BOTL SMMC20E is very fine! I have already one and use it on my Beogram 1700.

The current top of the line Soundsmith stylus costs 2899 dollars!
