I'm an Okie and I don't listen to Merle Haggard very often. But I do listen to Willie Nelson and Leon Russell. Bob Wills was not an Okie, but he spent a lot of time in Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, so we'll claim him. And JJ Cale. Shoot, we'll even claim Roy Clark. But we'll trade Garth Brooks for Willie.

There's a double album tribute to Bob Wills that Merle Haggard performs on, both vocally and on fiddle. He is a very impressive talent.
