Too Big To Jail

From an afterword to the paperback edition of Sen, Warren's book, "A Fighting Chance":

Quote:
Dodd-Frank had created default provisions that would automatically go into effect if there was no confirmed director, and his bank was almost certainly not in compliance with the those rules. I told him that if that happened, “I think you guys are breaking the law.”

Suddenly Dimon got quiet. He leaned back and slowly smiled. “So hit me with a fine. We can afford it.”
Why do these monsters think they're above the law"?

(That's a rhetorical question.)

I like this title, Too Big To Jail. I really think a politician could win a lot of votes if he went after this hard and used this as his mantra.

Of course, then he'd have no cash to run.

Dim one is supposedly so bloody smart yet he totally missed the "London Whale" that cost the bank a small fortune.
