You need to educate yourself a little before you start posting about things you do not understand.
This is a good definition of Democratic Soci@lism:
"Soci@l democracy is not itself a soci@list system. Rather, traditional social democrats advocated the creation of soci@lism through political reforms by operating within the existing political system of capitalism. The social democratic movement sought to elect soci@lists to political office to implement reforms. The modern social democratic movement has abandoned the goal of moving toward a soci@list economy and instead advocates for social reforms to improve capitalism, such as a welfare state and unemployment benefits. It is best demonstrated by the economic format which has been used in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland in the past few decades. This approach has been called the Nordic model."
A fine example of a Democratic Soci@list in this country is Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. A man with true integrity who accepts no corporate money. When he speaks on any subject, you can be sure, he is not blowing smoke up your ass to protect his big corporate donors.
Like him or not, he expresses the sentiments of people all over this country. We always talk about how we want members of Congress to be honest, upstanding, people working for their constituents. Sadly that number is very low.
There are many different types of soci@lism.
Anarchism
Democratic soci@lism
Leninism
Libertarian soci@lism
Religious soci@lism
Social democracy
Syndicalism
As much as it may surprise you the new crop of tea baggers in Congress are mostly Libertarian soci@list better known as Anarchism.
I have only dealt with the politics of Soci@lism. There is also Economic, social, and political theory issues to discuss.
Care to do a little Googling? You might learn something.
Oh, Obummer is about as far from a Democratic Soci@list as he can possibly be.
