I do not want do hear any complaints about the weather anymore from the right corner after the next extreme hurricane or twister or blizzard or what ever else.

No common sense in a huge part of the American society?

This forum is so extremely shocking sometimes. I don't need no Stephen King or Andrew Vachss anymore, if I need thrill I read some threads here.

Do not misunderstand me please, you know pals that I like you...

What is the insuperable line?
How much evidence must there be
To prove what is plain for all to see?
Must there be unanimous consent -
Are we now ruled by sole dissent -
In the progress of time?

Global warming is a fact. It is happening, and at an accelerated rate. The ice is melting. The grim speed of the glacial retreat is there for all to see. It can no longer be denied. There is no point in arguing. The continued debate over the cause has all the absurdity of arguing over shuffleboard scores on a sinking Titanic. We are past the tipping point in the natural balance; and there is nothing that can be done to counteract the colossal elemental forces now set in motion - it is unstoppable. All that can be done at this late date is to deal with the inevitable consequences that are predictable, if not calculable to a mathematical certainty. It is only a matter of time.
Out of curiosity Pukka, if I use the quote function on your post, am I actually quoting Pukka Sahib or am I quoting Wendell Phillips or Mr. Jaggers?

Maybe all three

I've noticed that too, of course, but recognize that he very likely is "cutting anf pasting" his own work. He certainly appears to like spreading himself around but it doesn't necessarily follow that he's a shill.

Why reinvent the wheel?

Sorry for a not off topic post.

Seasons in the Black Forest 1920:

Fall: three months
Winter: three months
Spring: three months
Summer: three months

Seasons in the Black Forest 2020:

Fall: six weeks
Spring: six weeks
Summer: nine months.

Probably a bit exaggerated, but all in all it is so. My favourite season is winter. I cannot stand the sturdy hot summer anymore and an AC (I will get one next month) in the bedroom will not be the answer to everything.

So either moving or suicide. No kidding.
