"The specific dissonance of Trumpism—advocacy for discriminatory, even cruel, policies combined with vehement denials that such policies are racially motivated—provides the emotional core of its appeal. It is the most recent manifestation of a contradiction as old as the United States, a society founded by slaveholders on the principle that all men are created equal."

This describes a couple of posters here in a nutshell, including the vehement denials that they are in any way racist. Trumpism=racism.

Yet in Trumpworld, pointing out instances of their racism is itself racism.

You've noticed how that works too? Amazing isn't it? They jump to defend Nazis and Klansmen, the Confederate flag and statues of Confederate scumbags erected by openly bigoted politicians in the early 20th Century.........

If you point out the obvious bent going on there, you're the bigot. Right.
