Rand Paul assulted in attack.

Hurt pretty bad in the incident.

Most have had problems with neighbors but never never should go this far!

""Paul "was probably the hardest person to encourage to follow the (home owner's association regulations) of anyone out here because he has a strong belief in property rights," said Skaggs, who is the former chairman of the Warren County Republican Party.""
http://www.courier-journal.com/story...per/839677001/

""While there's no official word on what caused the fight. The neighborhood's developer Jim Skaggs said it might have stemmed from Paul allegedly blowing lawn trimmings into his neighbor's yard.""
http://www.courier-journal.com/story...urt/847350001/

""Mr. Paul, 54, has long stood out in the well-to-do gated neighborhood south of Bowling Green, Ky., that he calls home. The senator grows pumpkins on his property, composts and has shown little interest for neighborhood regulations.""

Rand paul's shack.

So is he such a tightwad he cuts that lawn himself? And then gets into fights over it?

Neighbor is a asshole for assaulting him, if that's what happened, but this almost had to be avoidable by any sensible person....

Your bias is showing.

"Shack"? Really?

Because he owns a large property he is obligated to hire lawn work out?

Last I heard, he was operating a lawn mower and using ear protection when he was hit from behind. How should he have avoided that?

"The Pauls are and always have been great neighbors and friends. They take pride in their property and maintain it accordingly," one neighbor, Travis Creed, told Breitbart. "Rand has enjoyed working on and maintaining his lawn for as long as I have known him. He was attacked on his property for no apparent reason and suffered serious injury. That is the only fact known at this time."

As for the neighbor being an "asshole", we at least know that he was probably a lefty:

Jeff Jones, a registered nurse who worked with Boucher, told The Washington Post that Boucher's politics were "liberal" and that Boucher "was active on social media and said some negative things about the Republican agenda" leading some to suggest that the attack was politically motivated.

I don't think two lawn guys would have gotten into this fight.

Please excuse me for finding sympathy unusually difficult to find here. I do have a bias that tells me Ayn Rand 'libertarians' often don't work and play well with others. Senator Paul should not have been assaulted and I wish him a swift recovery from his injuries.

Yes. I thought you guys are all about creating jobs and besides using a riding mower is cheating.
From what I have read, these are two neighbors that have been going at each other for some time and now this has become political.

All it means is that Paul is a typical Republican; Cheap and lazy.

Funny how that works!

Like a wise man once told me years ago, two types of people are born unto this world. Those who want to leave something for the next, those who want to take all they can while here. Guess what party affiliation fits the two?
