Fiat and Emperor Tweetus the Orange

“The president-elect’s focus on domestic jobs has shifted awareness of this topic, and it’s likely to have a dramatic impact on future U.S. auto production. However, as with all government influence, it will be interesting to see what, if any, unintended consequences surface as a result of Trump’s position."----

Now look, I am all for automotive jobs coming back to the US. Especially to the beleaguered Rust Belt.

But, am I wondering just what the heck is going on here? It all just seems too easy to me; The Emperor tweets and all of these guys just start announcing; "Oh, okay. We'll bring it back.". WTF?

I can't help but wonder what's going on behind the scenes when businessmen start reversing their plans on a handful of grandiose promises from a tweeting jackass and habitual liar, not having a single one of them actually in hand or knowing what the possible "unintended consequences" of it might be.

What is he telling these people?
