There are additional players. Hard right wing elements who might feel Poro
sold them out. It Is definitely an unhealthy situation to have an entire battalion - Asov Battalion - of extreme rightists.
The other side has the Russian nationalists who want complete separation
from Kiev. I do not think Putin wants the additional burden. Some of these
have been disciplined but there are always rogues.
Above it all the French and Germans see great potential trade with Russia,
the British leadership is bought by exiled Russian oligarchs, the Americans
are driven by McCainism and business elements led by the vice president.
The president needs to keep a cool head and recognize when he is being
goaded.
