I'm not saying you personally are a racist. Frankly, I don't know whether you are or not. What I do know is that your signature expresses sentiments that can easily - pretty much
only - be interpreted as racist. As long as you chose to display it as a part of your "persona" here it calls your own attitude toward race into question. That undermines your credibility on the issue.
It's a little like wearing a swastika armband and wondering why people suspect you might be a Nazi.
