My recollection is that these cases, at least when there is government turf involved, get resolved by an all or nothing ruling. Either the courts say no religious symbols or, if religious symbols are allowed, then equal space has to be set aside for each group that wants space. For example they may each be allowed 1 sq yd of floor space or 2 ft of shelf space or 1 sq yd of wall space or . . .
