To give you an idea of how many deer are around here, on a recent evening before our big 21" snowstorm we had 7 deer fighting over the birdseed spilling out of our birdfeeder in our front yard. The largest does were getting up on their haunches and boxing each other like kangaroos with their front hooves.

Oh lord, I can imagine my SO out there bangin' on a pan with a cooking implement telling the deer to chill out and take turns.
