"Big Money" individuals and corporate entities get behind whatever political affiliation or ideology will serve them best financially. Wind power is a great example and the tax breaks and subsidies for participation are astounding. If these guys are investing in a particular ideology, you can bet that the bottom line is financial and control over an inherent belief in right and wrong.
