Trump was elected by the thinnest of margins due to an antiquated electoral system (he lost the popular vote by millions), voter suppression, which is still pervasive in many Southern states, Russian meddling via social media ad buys, a nearly fact-free Fox “News”, and millions of dollars from untraceable sources. He deserves zero respect, though even that is more than a murderer like Putin deserves.
