Many of us have nostalgic memories of the blimps in various context, there were never more than a few at one time and their decommissioning is a saddening break with the past for many of us.

I like how the gondola from 1927 is going on display at the 'Planes of Fame' museum in Chino. Those folks put on a great airshow every year.
The hangar in the background is a few miles from here at the former Tustin MCAS. Glad you liked the article, Steve.
