I think he's actually a true believer of all the projections, innuendo, rumor and garbage he hears within the Wingnut News echo chamber. There are tens of millions of Americans just like him without the necessary critical thinking skills and life experiences to realize they're listening to self-affirming bullshit.
Like the rest of them, he's delusional enough to believe that Fox News, Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin and others in the wingnut echo chamber actually offer him special insight and understanding without the hassle of actually learning and developing an deeper understanding of the issues.
