German Nazism the common theme.
Just finished Stranger In A Strange Land by Heinlein.

It was ok....sort of like Hugh Hefner adopts the Messiah with a lot of free love
(from a decidedly male point of view) thrown in. The women are all strong and willful but ever ready to please all of the male characters without hesitation.

Probably was a big shocker in 1962 and sort of fits in with some countercultural ideas but I don't think it has aged that well. Maybe I will try some his "juvenile" books next. I don't think it is my imagination that the talk about "Stranger" has sort of died out as the decades go by. Good beginning but sort of slows down with all of Heinlein's didactic philosophizing.

I want to say I read or tried to read Man In The High Castle.
Didn't seem to be as good as the plot concept.
