Good bread is hard to find. Even the Breadsmith chain by us is hit and miss. One visit they will have a good sourdough and the next visit it's like they underbaked the loaves. They have no process control or bakers intuition whatsoever.
There is a small Italian bakery by mom's house. Sometimes she brings bread from there and it always good.
