Well, Comey did overstep his bounds by making an announcement on the email server investigation, not his findings, just that there is more to be examined. This is both unusual and improper protocol, so of course the left was upset, mostly for breaking with the protocol.
Fast forward, Trump fires him for the slimiest of reasons.
Enemy of my enemy works. Besides Comey being admired by FBI rank and file and a close associate of Mueller is icing on the cake. Suffer or rejoice, choice is yours.
You do realize that at some point, Trump will be charged with obstruction of justice, specifically for his firing of Comey don't you. Grin and bear.
