These sensors produce more than 25 gigabytes of data per hour...

.....

"With more than 145 actuators, 4716 signals, and 74 sensors including radar, sonar, cameras, accelerometers, temperature and even rain sensors, the 2013 Fusion can monitor the perimeter around the car and see into places that are not readily visible from the driver’s seat. These sensors produce more than 25 gigabytes of data per hour which is analyzed by more than 70 on-board computers.

I'm with Zeke now. I'm buying a 1967 slant six Dart, rebuilding it, and driving it forever.

That's the plan for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. AFAIK it was the last car made that did not have a flight recorder in the airbag module. It also does not have a body computer or GPS.

Yeah I think my 03 Grand Marq has a stupid black box. The 85, no :D

I like Jeeps. Helped my neighbor install a 350 in his 81 over the past year, to a T5 tranny. Frustrating and fun all in one!

That's insane. The more crap it has, the more crap there is to malfunction.

Imagine how much more affordable that car would be without all that junk on it.

Thousands worth of utterly silly chit that I don't need or even want.

Regards,
Dave

Great for safety! e.g. warning about toddlers in the vicinity.....and becoming more and more reliable.
