Average Age of Active Membership

A new member of the collective seems to think we're a bunch of wet behind the ears librul pop-tarts who haven't grown up enough to see the hoary old wisdom of William F. Buckleydingleberry and his band of social warriors at the Heritage Foundation. :p

No need to give your actual age or any personal identifiers.

Me, I'm in my mid sixties and I've mellowed from a card carrying Yippie to a registered Democratic Party stalwart.

What say you?

RickeyM 06-04-2021 03:05 PM

Except for the Yippie part, about the same.

Retired, nearer to 70 than 60, lol. The Insane Clown hasn't got a clue about ANYTHING.

I am way too old to care about such poppycock!

Back side of my sixth decade right now.

Growing up all across this country as a military brat. Looking at being drafted (lottery #3 @18) will make one very aware of life and politics at a very early age. Did all the pre stuff just never went anywhere, didn't peruse. Was waiting and would on enlisted in the Navy like Mother and Father had served in . Father was in Vietnam and this was his advice.

Then became a long hair panel van driving buffalo sandal wearing faded jean kinda guy.

74 here, I've examined Conservatism and found it selectively repressive of a majority by a priveledged minority. Likewise, Libertarians just enable the same plutocrats by laissiz faire lack of accountable oversight.
The Golden Rule hustle, let them that's got it have their way, it's good for you!

Lots of former military on this forum. Hat's off to you. If Tricky Dick had called I probably would've either bolted to Canada or joined the Air Farce with a bit of help from gramps, one the first aerobatics instructors at Kelly Field way down in Texass. Pop served in the 10th Armored Division in Europe, uncle flew B24s out of merry olde Blighty in the 8th AAC.

Sounds like Bob has about 10 years on me, so I guess I must be one of the younger ones. Funny thing is, to the extreme left, I'm a wingnut and to the extreme right I'm a liberal. Guess I've just never found my place.

You're a decent and sensible conservative. Your time was back when Ike was president.
