Trump - Putin Summit

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet on July 16 in Helsinki, both of their governments announced Thursday, setting the stage for a high-profile attempt to soothe tensions between the United States and Russia...

Shortly before the summit date and venue were announced, Trump took to Twitter, relaying that Russia continues to deny interfering in the 2016 election and airing grievances regarding the probe of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III into possible collusion between Putin’s government and Trump’s campaign.

@realDonaldTrump - Russia continues to say they had nothing to do with Meddling in our Election! Where is the DNC Server, and why didn’t Shady James Comey and the now disgraced FBI agents take and closely examine it? Why isn’t Hillary/Russia being looked at? So many questions, so much corruption!
And this is coming just days after the upcoming NATO summit in Brussels, where he'll likely insult and disgust our NATO allies and then fawn over his BFF, Vladimir Putin, just as he did with the G-7 and Kim.

While he's in Brussels, perhaps they could skip the due process (just like Donny wants to do for asylum seekers), and jail him for crimes against humanity. Problem solved.

The summit is timely. They'll be able to finalize their plans for disrupting the 2018 election.

Despite the efforts of the BBC, CNN and Newsweak it is good to know that the leaders of the nations with the largest nuclear arsenals decide to meet.

Good for mother earth.

And thanks to Tucker Carlson.

If Trump were a normal President who had America's interests foremost in his thoughts (as opposed to his own), you'd be right. But he isn't and you aren't.

Dan Coats, Trump's DNI and former CIA chief, agrees with your assessment:

The nation’s top spies told Congress Tuesday that Russia has taken steps to influence the 2018 U.S. midterm elections and plans to harness an arsenal of propaganda, social media, false personas, other means of influence to try to meddle in the American political system.

Keep in mind that the Lying Dotard already told the G-7 that he felt that NATO was "as bad as NAFTA." Feckin' traitor.

Donald Trump trashed Nato, saying it was “as bad as Nafta”, the North American free trade agreement the US president openly despises, European officials have confirmed.

Trump’s inflammatory remarks – made in private at the G7 summit in Quebec earlier this month – were first reported by Axios and confirmed on Thursday by two European officials.

He's got a point, however you might characterize his choice of words:

Countries that fall below the required 2% of GDP contribution include your favored Germany, our neighbor to the north - currently run by a 12 year old - Canada.

Um, no. The 12 year old currently occupies the Oval Office.

Maybe be good for mother earth, but perhaps not so for our elections.
It is fitting that for a TV personality president, the foreign policy is dictated by another TV personality. And why thank Tucker Carlson?
