A Moment of Sanity

Apparently, Glen Beck occasionally has more sense than a broom handle. He could never be accused of false modesty, so I suppose the following statement represents a moment of rational thought.

Quote:

Beck said there is 'not a chance' of a Beck-Palin GOP ticket in 2012. He said he has "zero desire" to run for president. "I don't think I would be electable," he said.

If Palin and/or Beck were to somehow win the presidency, our friends to the north better have built their own impenetrable border fence because I'd there in a flash. I might just pursue a job in British Columbia's budding agriculture industry.

I have begun to believe it could happen.

I just never imagined anything so bizarre possible before.

Except that this neocon philosophy has infected Canada as well. There was a time when the Progressive Conservative Party (the one to which I belonged) was a truly conservative group. Then along comes the western neocons of the reform party - the Central Alliance - and in 2003 they absorbed the PC party and dropped the word progressive.

Now they have a PM, Stephen Harper who thiks he is God when all he ever was is a George Bush hand puppet.

Neo-conservatism is a disease, and it is contagious.
