Leading Candidates for House Energy & Commerce Committee Chair

Take a few minutes out of your otherwise busy day and indulge yourself in Colbert's take on the two leading candidates for chairing the House Energy & Commerce committee.

Yeah, and maybe we can get Texas congressman Gohmert to chair the National security committee.

I actually watched the original spat on the tellie between Anderson Cooper and Gohmert. This fellow is an epic maroon.

How do any of the comments cited by either of the candidates relate to what they will do as chairmain of the committee?

It basically sounds like they aren't afraid to drill for oil, and that's probably a pretty damned good thing for the country/economy.

Once you net out the global warming propaganda, the appointment of a pro energy chaiman doesn't seem clueless at all.

When you say pro-energty, are you referring only to fossil fuel based energy? Any Congressman focused only on fossil fuels isn't paying attention to modern technology, or is owned by the oil industry.
