1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma - an estimated 300 African Americans were murdered and their town was torched.

It wasn't the only time either. the term 'race riot' in this country used to mean 'a mob of whites killing and burning out the blacks.' Didn't necessarily take a big mob, as the police were on side....
