That's two, now. We're going to need a lot more dominoes falling before this'll stick, though.

Even if Diaper Don had not loosed the mob on the Capitol with the intent of stopping or preventing the certification had he not told them to, let alone come to the capitol that day to "stop the steal", they would not have marched on the Capitol and rioted.
PS, I want to know who's responsible for the gallows being there? |
Having decided to accept that the SCOTUS will be the final word on this issue. Weeks months away now from being decided.
Is not a clear turning point. My prediction is from October to this time next year going into January will be a time filed with extreme turmoil. The smelly former guy will be getting his minions fired up and out in mass. Knowing full well that for him and his enabling henchman it is do or go to jail time. |

Arguments I have read elsewhere is that the Maine SoS Bellows made her decision based on the J6 committee hearings, not on evidence gathered by AG Jack Smith. This then could be used as an excuse by the current GOP House members on their impeachment quest to bar Biden from red states. What happens then? Supreme court has to weigh in again as the clock keeps ticking and Trump will still be on the ballot since the decisions are stayed?
Do committee hearings have legal standing? No, since they make referrals to the AG for action. |
Without a final ruling from the court on a federal level. Allowing a state by state decision will only increase the divisions in the country.
