How do you like your martini?
Wildly off topic....maybe.
I've come to like a vodka martini over a gin martini. Tito's, but Goose is good too. I also insist upon large queen olives freshly stuffed with white bleu cheese (no mold please), three of them, and dirty. Shaken vigorously and served in a chilled classic martini glass. If you substitute one of the olives with a fresh anchovy stuffed olive....well, thats just high living...... Beware; some restaurants try to pass off bleu cheese olives that have been stored in brine..(store bought)...they suck and will ruin an otherwise good martini. |
I don't drink.

I like mine made with Weller 107 proof KSBW, hold the vermouth and olives on the side. ;)

I don't drink spirits.
That said, has there ever been anyone who 'stirred' a martini? |
Yes, the child nephew in the movie "Auntie Mame" did it when his banker uncle came by unexpectedly one morning for for "inspection".
Auntie Mame was up in bed "hung"...... |

I only drink beer and wine for the last 30 years. Anything stronger has too much potential for disaster. The comeback of hard alcohols is not a good thing. OK, OK, an after dinner cognac on occasion. |

I cant remember the last time but it was always Stoli with a twist. dip the mixing stick in the vermouth, that is enough.

Not much for clear alcohol. Gin is the best of them for me. Tequila a no no, I wake up wondering why my head hurts so bad. The wife like her Vodka Martini three olives nice and cold. So it is shaken and strained into a cold glass.
Wine never either but Kentucky Tea or a good Lager I've been know to enjoy. Barney |
Glass Ice Vodka.
I don't think that is a martini. |
