Is The Dem Base Getting Riled Up For November?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...hment-pitches/
"The Democrats' congressional campaign arm pulled in $2.1 million in online donations over the weekend -- the best four-day haul of the current election cycle -- largely propelled by fundraising pitches tied to speculation that House Republicans could pursue the impeachment of President Obama." WaPo ""It's all a scam started by the Democrats at the White House," House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) insisted Tuesday when asked about impeaching President Obama. "Why? Because they are trying to rally their people to give money and to show up in this year's election." The latter part of that is true: Over the weekend, Democrats say they raised $2.1 million largely using the specter of an attempted impeachment." WaPo http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...eline/?hpid=z5 Yeah, right. Bonehead. The average donation was $19 in that fund drive that netted the Dems $2.1 million over a weekend. |
Just another hustle. :D

As much as I'd like to think otherwise, I expect Dem turnout will suck during the midterms as it usually does.
Our best hope is that there will be a Hillary wave in 2016. I think there is an excellent chance for that. |

The vote for the lawsuit is later today and here is Ryan's thoughts on the topic. http://time.com/3058670/paul-ryan-obama-impeach-sue/ “I see this as sort of a ridiculous gambit by the President and his political team to try and change the narrative, raise money and turn out their base for an upcoming election that they feel is not going to go their way,” Ryan said Wednesday, echoing House Speaker John Boehner’s comments Tuesday that the White House’s impeachment talk is a “scam.” “We have no plans to impeach the President,” Boehner said. Isn't that what politics is all about? Or OK only if we do it? If this is a gambit, filing a lawsuit is simply a stunt and waste of taxpayer money. Even if the case goes to SC, most the justices can do is to say that the extensions Obama granted for implementation of ACA are illegal. Then what? |
