But when I started the checkout process, this site needed my 'Occupation' and 'Employer'. I did not complete the order since I object to them needing this information. I already am a registered member of Bernie's election campaign, so chances are they have some information on me already. I suspect that this website that is handling online sales of these souvenirs is simply mining for information to make another buck in the future.

I responded to the email with a protest but doubt if I will get a response.

Who says Bernie's not a capitalist? ;)

Yeah, that information is probably not for Bernie's campaign but for the third party selling the shirts. I'm sure Bernie doesn't have a Deputy Assistant Campaign Director for Swag.

I have a feeling she might have already lost California to Bernie.... or President Moonbeam if he decides to run. ;)

Actually, now that we have open primaries here, don't be surprised to see a lot of crossover voting to kill Hillary's chances and toss California to the "beatable" Bernie Sanders.

I saw that.

Bernie is doing well in Iowa and New Hampshire which reflects his popularity with white liberals. The problem comes when the primaries move down south and the majority of Democratic primary voters are black, especially black women. They are providing a firewall for Hillary and I don't know how Bernie can turn that around. I can see a scenario where he wins in Iowa and New Hampshire and then hits a stone wall in the south.

Trump on the other hand looks to be doing well in both Iowa and New Hampshire. The difference is that when he goes south, it's the white teabagger voters that make up the majority for the Republican primary and he is doing awesome with them. He's going to be very hard to stop.

Bernie's a loser in the general election. Mainstreet 'Murica isn't ready for a Social Democrat in the White House.
My hope is that when Bernie drops out, his supporters don't petulantly stay home and allow the 'Pubbies to elect another Bush.

It's all about the Supreme Court.

Sorry for the abrasive post. :o Unca Bernie is a gem and I'm glad he's in the race.

Why Aren't More Black Voters Feeling the Bern?

This is a big problem for him.

He could win the 95% white states of Iowa and New Hampshire and then hit a wall in the south where as much as 50% of the Democratic primary voters are black.

There remains one inconvenient dilemma for the Sanders camp: Most black voters have yet to “feel the Bern.”

According to the latest findings from Public Policy Polling, 65 percent of black voters support Clinton while only 14 percent back Sanders. For a man who is heralded as a civil rights veteran by his legion of supporters, that number is not impressive.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is gaining fast on front-runner Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential race and has moved within single digits of her for the first time, a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll showed on Friday.

Clinton leads Sanders nationally among Democrats by eight percentage points, 39 percent to 31 percent, her smallest cushion since the nominating battle began for the November 2016 election. She led Sanders by 20 percentage points in the online poll a week ago. (Reuters/Ipsos poll: bit.ly/1L6Tpwu)
