It is for situations just like this one that I always keep a gun in my car.
Since I drive the sped limit and obey all traffic laws I often incur the wrath of other motorists that are in too damned big of a hurry to drive safely. I expect that the chances are good that one of these days one of these morons isn't going to be satisfied with just tailgating, horn blowing, light flashing and finger waving and go off on me.
On my recent trip to Canada I had to leave my guns at home. That was a bit unnerving until I got across the border.
I found the Canadian drivers to be much more courteous and patient. Even though I was a tourist who didn't always know where he was going. As soon as I crossed the border my GPS went essentially dark. Apparently it's data base for Canada is very sketchy. So, I'm sure my driving was annoying. At any rate, while I was in Canada I did not at any time feel uncomfortable without a gun. I can't quite describe it but the atmosphere is different there. My conclusion is that in Canada, at least in the Maratime provinces where I was, the number of psychopaths per 100,000 population is substantially less than it is in the US.
