Police sue over discrimination.
"Officers involved in a 2012 shooting in Cleveland are suing the city and police officials, alleging racial discrimination.
They claim the defendants have a pattern of treating non-African American officers harsher than African American officers, when it comes to officer-involved shootings of African Americans. The plaintiffs in the federal suit are not African American. ........." http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/30/us/cle...olice-lawsuit/ Pete |
Interesting. They can allege all they want, but they'll need to demonstrate that African-American officers are indeed treated better in similar circumstances, not just that they were treated poorly. There's a reasonable chance that it can be shown that their political overlords make politically expedient decisions of all types.

The poor oppressed white male.

I would imagine it will be difficult to find a significant amount of Cleveland police chases that were 25 minutes in duration and involved 137 rounds, and were only involving black police officers, against two unarmed suspects.
I would wager there were zero such cases other than this one involving white officers. |
