It's not a knock off of anything. It's an homage to the Ford GT40 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

I think that look was inspired by the early Corvettes, especially the Stingray.

I may be wrong.

The last time I was interested in a car as anything other than a dependable way to get where I wanted to go was in the 1960's.

Back in those days the saying about Fords was "Ford will pass anything on the road except a gas station".
