Siberia Monamour

Found this Russian film on Youtube.

In the Russian taiga you are your own law and order and there is God.

With clear English subtitle.

Thanks! I'll have to fire that one up on the Roku YouTube channel.

I've been watching seasons one and two of the TV series "The Vikings" on Amazon instant video.

Supposedly based on the lives of real Vikings that lived back in the day, but I'm sure it's highly dramatized to the point of being virtually complete fiction.

Lots of sex and gory violence and therefore highly entertaining.

It's a good series, well written and acted. It's also pretty faithful to history and/or the sagas.

I'm curious how far they'll take the story. Curious to see whether the story continues after the death of the main character, which it did in the sagas and in history.

As for watching it, the first two seasons are available on Hulu Plus via Roku, Apple TV, etc. Also, both Roku and Apple TV have a History Channel channel available for free. Seasons 1, 2 are there too plus Season 3 episodes become available the day after their original air date (so Season 3 Episode 6 will be available tomorrow).

Seasons 1, 2 & 3 are available for free on Hulu.com and History.com via the web.

I have the hots for Lagertha.

She's the Viking version of Rhonda Rousey. :D

She might be able to take Rousey. She's a 2nd degree black belt in karate and a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Used to have her own dojo.

You'll dig this.

Same here. ;) The pirate series isn't too shabby either,

The best episode of House was the one where Kathryn Winnick played Eve the rape victim. It's titled "One Day, One Room." Winnick's performance is one of the most powerful by any actress I've ever seen on film. And Hugh Laurie was spectacular in it as well. The scene where House and Eve are out in the park deep in painful discussion and she brings up God, to which House replies, "Either God doesn't exist or he's unimaginably cruel." Wow.

She's certainly not a fluff like a lot of these women that play badasses in the movies, but in an no rules street fight my money would be on Rousey.

Forgot to mention. She's also a licensed bodyguard. My guess is she's completely comfortable in a no rules to the death situation.
