I think a lot of the rural Republicans share a similar mindset. At least my hunting/fishing friends do. They understand the role of government when it comes to resource preservation. They even work with government on that front.

IMO the reason they vote Republican is because that is the party with the guns. It's pretty simple logic.

Oh wait, he quit the Republican Party a few years ago because of what they've become. :)

I fish and support the rights of the hunting community and a strong supporter of our Dept. of Fish and Game. I'm also as Democratic as they come. Mebbe it's different in the Sansa belt of the country;)?
