So yesterday ol' Hillary waddled up on stage at George Washington University and durin' her address, she was asked what role women would play in the coming global meltdown. Ol' Hill didn't miss a beat. Told those ladies that the coming desertification (SP?) spread south, women would be required to drive the flocks, gather the food and haul the firewood. What the manly men was supposed to do was left unclear but presumably they will all have had their male naughty bits removed be feminists, so maybe they'll just sit around in sewing circles or such, singing Koom by Yah in soprano. Made me glad I was already older than dirt so I don't gotta worry 'bout it.

This of course would be the women who got through the famine and lived to play a role in the successor economy. Men not significant at that point because so few would have survived the wars to control the remaining beer supplies.

And you're the second or third one here today to express this fatalistic 'who cares I'm almost dead anyway' attitude. The future of the prepping business looks bleak indeed.

Yeah, y'all is right, the "I'm to old" thang is a cop out. Still don't matter to me since I believe the whole death by global warming is a crock anyway. But lawdy, I am glad I don't buy that crap as life must be so damn bleak to y'all who do.

There's some truth to that. If things looked much bleaker I'd be tempted to try denial.
