Came across these slides, built this for my first wife also the table which has two removable inserts. Hope she has not sold them as Brian should inherit the lot. I used to be pretty good back then. Cabinet is all knotty/white pine table is hard maple.:)
Bought the chairs at Arnprior if memory serves. |
Those are Beautiful Rob,I love Wood Products.I stop for curbed wood peices espescialy the vintage stuff. It is hard to find good wood craftsman any more the guy down the street from me does nice works.I have a shed full of all kinds and shapes of wood.
My wife once found a folding table of What I believe is Oak and with a hand painted mural on it when I get it out I will post a picture,I could not believe someone would throw it away. |
Florence had this gatelag table with 24 inch wide drop down tops. The woden hinges were broken so someone put barn hinges on it.Cherry
She also had six balloon back chiars which had been painted green at one time. Well I have redone all the chairs and one wood hinge in white ash and started on the other. Hope I can finish it before arthritis gets too bad. |

Leider habe ich zwei linke Hände, as we say in German language, what means - expressing clumsiness: Unfortunately I got two left hands!

The strange part was that I did build the cabinet for her, yet she criticized everything I did.
