Been hearing about this on the news. Does not look good for the passengers at this point.

Bout time for them to be out of air, if they survived the initial incident.

News is debris has been found that an expert says are pieces off the sub. Presumably only a catastrophic failure would have separated these pieces from the rest. Have to figure hull failure and implosion now. At the pressures that thing faced, any defect could be deadly. Anyway, sounds like occupants died about instantly, not from slow oxygen starvation.

Was listening to NPR briefly yesterday. They mentioned that the maker of this sub decided to break all the rules, ignoring best practices and avoiding government oversight. Sounded like a recipe for disaster.

Rest in peace to these intrepid explorers. Hopefully there was minimal suffering endured. Condolences to the families and friends.

Going all independent mad scientist forgoing regulations and oversight. Then when something like this happens, expecting the world to save you!

Who will be paying the bill for the rescue and now recovery plus how much???

My sympathy to the loved ones of those lost aboard the Titan.
