And he's still on the job. Wonder how many charges he's "made up" during his time on the force.

This is the stuff of oppression. For every police killing that makes the news, there are thousands and thousands of incidents of disrespect, insult, threats, actual false arrest (followed by 'dropped charges'), and non-lethal assault. It is the multiplicity, the prevalence, of incidents of this sort that proves to a community that the police have no desire to serve and protect them, but instead have an active desire to harm them.

To be fair, for every killed officer that makes the news, there are thousands and thousands of incidents of disrespect, insult, threats, false complaints (followed by investigations), and non-lethal assault against cops. Training is supposed to include methods to deescalate of the situation, and the vast majority of officers are well trained. When the training fails, there should be consequences, both individual and systemic.

I'm all for being fair. Each side in the thing has a responsibility to break up the system of circular negative reaction.

A lot started when we took the cops of the beat and put them in cars. They don't know the people they are policing and those people don't know them.
