Outside a local independent thrift yesterday was a sign; "HUGE ELECTRONICS SALE! 50% off!"

Inside the store nothing put huge piles of BPC trash. It was like the late '80s had puked into the store. There was literally NOTHING to get excited about.

I almost cried.

This place sucks.

I guess that means I'm better off than you Dave. None of the stores around here ever have anything electronic other than beat up video games.

I passed on some Boston Acoustic 100s....I have the 70s and these would be sort of redundant....but the surrounds were still good.

I received a Seiko 5 Automatic watch from this cool dude in India ....It works it is the second vintage watch from him...he sells vintage Japanese watches for about $30 starting bids.

Went back and the clock was sold. Damn!

Noticed a lot of hipsters visiting the stores. I usually just go there for used
books but the hipsters collect anything that is "vintage".

They are now spreading out into Brooklyn. That is bad! Anywhere these
people go the cost of living zooms. They messed up Williamsburg for the
Puerto Ricans...$7000/month apartment :eek: and are now pressuring the
Poles out of Greenpoint.

An infestation of hipsters lol.

went to Poway where there are all these thrifts....passed on some A/D/S speakers they wanted $100 I just have too many speaks

they did have these ugly telefunken klangbox speakers with metal grills in the back if they are any good I will go back

Wow there are pair of Klangboxes on the bay for $1000...but these are larger and have stands the ones I saw were small bookshelf types...the ones at the thrift had no price.

wow I passed on Infinity Kappa 6.1s I must be growing out of the speaker hoarding....plus they cost too much at $129 and it is tax time
