Here's the real hero of the Canadian health care system, Rob. Maybe your next avatar? ;)

I didn't tune in to the whole hippie ethic until about 2 years later than the Summer of '67. I was still pretty oblivious at that point and groovin' on Motown for the most part.

As for whether or not I feel old now, I suppose "sometimes" is the answer. I'm in good physical shape, particularly after having lots of time to work out in retirement, and can keep up with my kids on hikes, bikes and skiing. Then again, I'll have some pains where I didn't know pain was possible.;)

Not much love for me that summer although, in the autumn of that year, I was blessed with my first child, a daughter named Jennifer. That brought considerable love into my life.

Nice remembrance there John.

All you need is love.

Lottal people saying how old they were during the summer of love. I wonder how many were born after that summer?

A member of Canada's social democratic party known as the New Democratic Party or NDP. Thanks to the Liberals droppping the ball the NDP is now the main opposition party. The thing is that I personally knew many of these people and they were a very decent lot.

I was a member of the Conservative party a the time and had great rapport with my Member of Parliament, Walter Baker. That was when it really was a conservative party, before it merged with the Reform party - a bunch of Republican wannabees.

Sadly Walter died prematurely shortly after I came down here. My ex said thay called the house looking to see if I would run for Walter's seat. Just as well else I would be a part of the remnant of the Conservative Party that said "Hell no, we won't merge."
