Strange Tea Brewing In Colorado

Teabagger candidate for Colorado Governor, Dan Maes, is apparently about to get hit with a major scandal. The Colorado GOP is in major damage control mode. They've urged Maes to withdraw from the race but he has refused. No indication yet as to what the scandal might be but it looks like the Denver Post is about to run with it now that Maes is staying in the race.

The Democrat running appears to be a good man. Maybe this is karma for his pledge to not go negative. Apparently, his opponent invites negative coverage.

Nobody's talking yet. I'm thinking the Denver Post offered him a chance to "avoid embarrassment for his family" by withdrawing. Since he refuses, they'll probably run with it now.

Whatever it is, the Colo GOP must think it's really bad. I mean Maes was going to lose anyway. Hickenlooper's way ahead. The Repubs must think this will hurt the party, not just Maes.

This hasn't been a great week for republicans. Maybe the proper authorities have caught up with them.

Topping that all off a former official of the RCC admits to having embezzeled $844,000 from the party, what with sex clubs and all they are really scraping bottom. One wonders if they get returned to power just how much they will steal from the public trough.
