Joe Biden is imploding before our eyes

Article here: Joe Biden is imploding before our eyes

Worth a read, IMO. I think it was summed up best with this comment by a friend:

This entire ‘presidency’ is like being tied to a chair and watching a toddler play with a loaded pistol

What I think may happen is something akin to what happened to the Nixon Presidency. That is, we elected Nixon and Agnew and got president Ford. Our current "Agnew" is clearly not up to the task and is imploding almost faster than our current "Nixon". And I believe their handlers planned this whole thing. Biden may be incompetent, but his handlers are certainly not. The only question is, who gets to play the part of Ford?

Personally, for maximum entertainment I think it should be Mayor Lightfoot. :D

Honorable mention would go to AOC. ;)

Ever notice that Trumpster fires give off gaslight?

For four years, Trump was incompetent at every little thing he did. And, the Trump supporters said absolutely nothing.
Biden makes a bold decision, albeit not popular with everyone, and the Trump supporters are frothing at the mouth.

Scathing editorial slams 'disingenuous partisan' Mike Pompeo for his Afghanistan hypocrisy

https://www.rawstory.com/scathing-ka...r-afghanistan/

Quote:

With Afghanistan having been taken over by the Taliban, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is slamming President Joe Biden for withdrawing U.S. troops from the country — neglecting to mention that Biden was essentially following the Pompeo/Donald Trump plan for withdrawal, although at a slower pace. The Kansas City Star's editorial board, in a scathing editorial published on August 18, slams Pompeo's total hypocrisy.

Barbara, I believe that President Biden has made a bold decision after consulting his administration and the military. Mr. Biden has years of legislative experience and not known for knee jerk actions. Unfortunately in this instance, he is not getting the support from either side because politicians play it safe and hide, but will show up for the victory lap. In the end Mr. Biden will be proven to have made the correct decision since the Afghan army folded overnight and their president went AWOL. No point in supporting those who cannot stand up and fight.

Trump officials scramble for distance from his Taliban deal

Guess who visited the White House with beard and turban and all. wonder if he is hiding a gun under his scarf. :D

But now the situation has deteriorated thanks to a withdrawal that Trump, by his own estimation just a couple of months ago, forced upon Biden. “I started the process. All the troops are coming home. They couldn’t stop the process,” Trump said, adding: “They couldn’t stop the process. They wanted to, but it was very tough to stop the process.”

Sorry to upset or offend with this statement.

Any non governmental US citizen still in country has to be more then a little at fault.

No good IMHO way to excuse staying up to the last minute.....to now have a complaint on trouble with evacuation....WTF!

As to the people we are leaving in jeopardy that were of assistance to our efforts. That is shameful and totally uncalled for. No good excuse should never have happened. My only thought is the government was hoping the Afghanistan government would be able to fight the taliban. A misguided one it now is all to apparent.

Sorry to upset or offend with this statement.

My narrow ass wouldn't have been there in the first place. Afghanistan is basically a combat zone. Our adversary is composed of a group of well armed individuals who don't want us there on what they consider their home turf. Large numbers of people there see us as an enemy, as infidels. It was not a safe place for non-governmental US citizens even before U.S. military set foot there.

Notice Joe Biden taking responsibility for the withdrawal.

Notice that "other guy", quick to take credit for anything good but never accepting responsibility for anything else.
