Trumpier than Trump

This is how coal baron Blankenship describes himself.
He was convicted for polluting the ground water, spent time in prison which makes him a felon. He is now running in the primary for Senator from W. VA.

Trump has come out this morning urging his supporters not to vote for Blankenship. WTF??? Where is Bannon when we need him.

Trump not supporting someone who is for Trump and willing to out do Trump. :)

Here is to wish Blankenship the best of luck in tomorrow's primaries.
Had I lived in W. VA, I would be making robocalls on behalf of Blankenship. :D

Actually, he was convicted of a conspiracy to violate mine safety and health standards, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 1 year in jail because he skated from the two other felony charges against him (securities fraud and making false statements). That said, there is no question that he is lowest form of scum whose malfeasance resulted in the death of 29 miners.

Thanks and what are his chances?
They believed in Trump for resurgence is coal jobs, so perhaps they trust Blankenship too.

Dunno. Everyone in the race, including Democrat Joe Manchin, are fully beholden to the coal industry in West-By-God. At one time, Blankenship was fully involved behind-the-scenes apologetically pulling the strings on behalf of the coal industry in the WV capitol. He's the absolutest swampiest and most corrupt of creatures, even by Trumpian standards.

The West Virginia primary shows Trump’s election was no aberration
Quote:

Sooner or later, Donald Trump will be gone. Trumpism, however, is here to stay.

Look at West Virginia, which holds its Republican Senate primary Tuesday. Candidate Don Blankenship, a disgraced coal baron who spent a year in jail after a mine explosion killed 29 workers, was reportedly trailing two respectable GOP rivals just over a week ago.

Then Blankenship, who calls himself “Trumpier than Trump,” uncorked a racist and demagogic jeremiad about Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and his Asian American wife, Elaine Chao, who happens to be a member of President Trump’s Cabinet. Blankenship dubbed McConnell “Cocaine Mitch,” implying he profited from drugs once found aboard a ship owned by McConnell’s father-in-law, who Blankenship calls a “China person.”

“Swamp Captain Mitch McConnell has created millions of jobs for China people,” Blankenship said in an ad. “While doing so, Mitch has gotten rich. In fact, his China family has given him tens of millions of dollars.”

It was disgusting — and it apparently worked. Internal polling by one of Blankenship’s opponents showed Blankenship surging from third to first place, according to Axios’s Jonathan Swan.
Here is wishing Blankenship the best of luck in today's primary. May the worst person win.
WV needs you, Trump needs you, the GOP needs you.
As for Mitch, I don't care. :)

Controversial former coal baron Don Blankenship said Monday that he is launching a third-party campaign for the Senate after losing in West Virginia’s Republican primary, a decision that could complicate the GOP’s efforts to keep its majority in the midterm elections.
